The UK disposable vape ban is now in effect. Here is what changes, what devices you can still buy, and how to transition to compliant alternatives.

The Ban Is Here

As of June 1, 2025, single-use disposable vapes are banned from sale across England, Scotland, and Wales. The ban covers all non-rechargeable, non-refillable vaping devices including popular brands like Elf Bar, Lost Mary, and SKE Crystal.

What Does This Mean for Vapers?

If you currently use disposable vapes, you will need to switch to a refillable or rechargeable device. Many brands have already released compliant alternatives — Lost Mary's BM6000 pod kit and Geek Bar's Pulse series are two popular options.

Where Can You Still Buy?

Retailers are prohibited from selling disposable vapes. However, rechargeable pod systems and refillable kits remain fully legal. Online vape retailers like EightVape, Ejuice Connect, and Sourcemore continue to offer a wide range of compliant devices.

Environmental Impact

The ban aims to reduce the estimated 5 million disposable vapes discarded weekly in the UK. Each contains lithium batteries and plastic that take decades to decompose.
